Yoga is a powerful vehicle for change

Along the way of consistent practice, one begins to build strength, stamina, and the greater road which than opens up is a belief in one's potential.
Today, here is a reminder, a meditation, and a pose to practice:

Yoga is a journey of the self, through the self, to the self. This journey will guide us toward understanding our dharma, our purpose.  On a daily basis there is opportunity to recognize many purposes for our attention, efforts, service and growth. Some people will say that "the journey is the journey."
Whether you are focusing just on your journey today, or some stepping stones into a future part of your journey, have faith. Have faith in what grounds you and gives you a firm foundation, have faith in yourself, and have faith in your spiritual practice. "Faith does not make things easy, it makes things possible." - Luke 1:37.

Take time today to practice Vrksasana, tree pose. Consider using your grounding blend.  Place a drop in your palms, rub your hands together and take a few slow, deep breaths from your personal diffuser, your hands held in prayer, at your heart. Feel the strength of your legs, the rebound energy from the earth, working through your body, helping you to reach and to grow your body upward. Find a focal point. This will help to cultivate balance. Choose either to prop one foot toes on the floor, sole of the foot against the other leg, or to place on foot against the other, whether low or high on the standing leg. Regardless, recruit the inner thighs, reach the inner heel to the floor, draw the navel to the spine, lift the ribs away from the hips and continue to grow your tree. You can choose to lift the arms and grow your limbs up. The arms will help lift the ribcage.  Regardless, of arms reaching up or hands held at your heart, grow from your trunk and remember that rooting down is what helps you to grow upward. Feel your strength, it is empowering.
